In a rare public appearance, Prince Michael Jackson and his sister, Paris, will be on stage Sunday night during the Grammy show tribute to their father, Michael Jackson. They are expected to accept the Lifetime Achievement Awards for their father at the 2010 Grammy Awards on January 31 on CBS. Michael Jackson was 50 years old when he died June 25, 2009
Jackson's oldest son, Prince Michael, is expected to read a statement on behalf of the family during the Grammy tribute, according to CNN.
The children have not been at a public event since their father's memorial service held two weeks after his death last June. It has been reported that Jackson's children will not enter the Los Angeles Convention Center through the red carpet Sunday night. Grandmother Katherine Jackson will bring them backstage.
At this time, Jackson's youngest son, Blanket, will not be on stage with his older siblings to receive Michael Jackson's Lifetime Achievement Award.
Rehearsal for the Michael Jackson 3D Grammy Awards Tribute to be performed at the 52nd Grammy Awards on January 31, 2010. Celine Dion, Carrie Underwood, Smokey Robinson, Usher and Jennifer Hudson will perform the late Jackson's "Earth song" Sunday night. See video of the rehearsal here.
